St Vincent 03:36
Saint Vincent’s in the corner having quite a fit, When you fall down and pray. Says he knows the moment God quit and walked away. Though if he does, who can say? But I won’t, because I don’t, No I won’t, because I don’t, Give a damn. A separated shoulder from a new best friend, Whom he never asks why. Limbs stacked up in Constellations, Just like the stars in the sky. Green grass grows slowly up above, Leeching out new life. When the world decays you’re left with nails in hand, With which to build it again.
2.
Had a great plan how to spend the last dollar, But truth always cost more then lies. Can always afford just to shrink a bit smaller, Happiness sold by its size. Oh Emily, Oh Dear.
3.
Emily, with palms against the air, Takes from me and tumbles down the stairs. So lie down and be thankful, Try not to appear ungrateful, We know you would. You won’t be heard, and they won’t understand, Your twisted words, I’ve ironed out again. You name your price and I pay the ransom, But don’t make off high and handsome, On my dime. Why aren’t you kind to me, my Emily? And why don’t you comfort me in my misery? No you’re as cold and as cruel as the worst of them. So they say, everyone’s half heartless. But with you they used, and gave a little less. Because it’s so hard to say if you’re with me. Just as hard to tell if you’ve left me. Am I alone? I should leave, with your back against the door. You’re not looking for me, but take a little more. So pardon me if I say unfaithful, I try not to appear ungrateful, But you know I could.

Sunny Sue 03:06
Please wash your hands, before you dig right in, And promise me careful and sterile Incisions with empathy. Hold so still, your last stand social skill, And anesthetic, I get it, But make sure there’s nothing to forget. But don’t you break my heart, No don’t you break my heart. Do double check, that what you do extract, May it be useless or deadly, And won’t leave me empty of real love. Don’t wake me up when all is said and done, You would be long gone, the long odds, As good as they get. You Sunny Sues of one AM You come and you go, And I don’t mind. With your love of glass, Under my skin. It’s the invisible ones that slip right in.

Bedsheet 03:22
Branch like a limb, grow big and tall. See one or two, like seeing them all. Keep the blood off the bed sheet, Oh you know what I mean. Run down the stream, and if you must, crawl. At the end of the day, find your way home. Turn the lights off, the blinds down, So the neighbors don’t see. And thank you but, Yeah thank you well, And thank you but. Lay in the sun, sharpen your horns, You could never tell just who they were for. Keep you guard up this prison, Is much too good to be true. You tear up the grass, and steal from the master, But they’ve dug no grave, no escape from the pasture. You’ve come to learn this is how The civilized feed. And thank you but I, Yeah thank you well I’m just fine. And thank you but I’m just myself. Look what you’ve done, kid you got heart. Less of a murder, more a work of art. Kept the blood off the bed sheet, Oh you know what I mean.

All in All 02:15
All, all in all, all in all, all is well, And all, all in all, all in all they can (can’t) tell.

Mary Pray 03:01
Here comes the sun to burn away, The good thoughts of yesterday. And I’ll be damned, You would be damned too. Had a dream, we’re all just weeds, And pulled up from the dirt we need, Our saving grace, The rising price of shade. With roots clutching to the earth, The whole planet that got here first, And stuck around, The holy ground, To prove away odd dreams. At least I’m led to believe. But Oh Mary Pray, And Oh Mary Pray, And Oh Mary say you’ll never leave me, You’re the only one who needs me, And I’ll do the best that I can. Search my machine for what it means, With precious little memory, Can’t save a soul, Much less save me. Connects the dots without a line, The big picture in my mind. Some new theory of everything? Not now. Because I’ve been what I’ve been before, And only since I am born, Am I anything. Are you anything? And I’ll be nothing again. No change in tense.

Runway 03:17
Don’t you go too far my lovely. Don’t you long to look, Your loneliness will make you a star. Don’t you go too far my lovely, Don’t you long to look, Your emptiness will make you, But everything will make you go. Left leg limping down the runway chewing earth, And letting everybody know She don’t need nobody but the, Blue light dripping through holes in the drywall, Where it turns out selling out, Don’t pay that well. But she’ll go out, forget about it, And make new friends, Because misery loves the company. As for your health, can’t take it with you. Just leave it how you found it, That’s the best you can do. Dirt crown digging through the dumpster, For an angel with a pistol and a spade, Who don’t need nobody but the, New faith preacher on rebirth radio, Who only plays the odds because things Don’t turn out well. But he’ll go out, forget about it, And make new friends, Because misery loves the company. As for your health, can’t take it with you. Just leave it how you found it, That’s the best you can do.

The Man 03:17
Gonna make my wealth as a witty man, And If I can’t, I’ll count Because you know that I can And I could sell my self in 99 bars, But I’d never get far beyond the sunscreen scars, Because you know where I stand, And you know who I am. And I could spend my day strung up from a tie, And If I can’t, I’ll cut, And they’d never ask why. I could press my suit and act wholly devout. But there are just some lines that won’t be ironed out. And you know where I stand, And you know who I am. Oh Hallelujah, I want to be your man. Oh Hallelujah, I want to be your friend. Oh Hallelujah, I want to be your slave. I’m afraid of getting old, I’m afraid of dying young. But I’m mostly convinced, I’ll live on and on. And if you don’t, I don’t but we can still be friends, And if you will, I won’t because they call you the man. And you know where I stand, And you know just who I am.

No Blood 02:35
You need a new habit with, No needles, no blood. And you say you don’t like work. I think you meant that you just don’t like effort. So I wrote the end to your story, Or whatever that turned out to be, The imagery was such a pretty thing. And my oh my, how things have changed, With the words rearranged. But at least nobody ended up too happy. But, make me somebody new, And how about you? You need a new charity, No needles, no blood. And you’d ask “don’t you believe in fate?” And I’d say “no, why do you?” Because if you’re dead before the sun, The fault you know was all your own. A testament to being free. And the feelings, well they’ve seemed to be, Just a little less then was agreed. But at least nobody ended up too happy.

Curious Kids 02:45
Curious kids just lay around all day, And have a lot to say, But no space between the words. Curious kids think they’re never getting old, And believe all they’re told, Because they’ve promised to be fair. Curious kids all really want to go, A place that no one knows, I guess they’ve found it on the floor.

Throw Up 03:13
Mother Earth, I’m doing fine, I’m doing fine you should know. Your evening sun has burned my eyes, But has not left me blind. Father Time your cruel design, Your cruel design leaves me low. So sir, would you please be kind, To stop and let me go? Because I’ll want now is all this seems to be, If you are all I need, Then please, please leave me be. Oh Brother Shy you seem okay, You seem okay to be. Your strangled words are always heard, At least that’s something to say. And Sister Day, won’t you stay, Won’t you stay here with me? The sand and sea would slowly change, Even the memory. Well I read all the messages, Each one, line to line. To keep you safe from my mind.
